ST. ANGER

'ST ANGER' was a good title choice for Metallica's 2003 eighth album release! The album sounded stripped down, raw, and garage bandish. As in life, Anger can be misguided and often produces a blurred vision of reality. 'St Anger' was not my bag. I mean...where is the guitar solos? What's your take? This record made me angry just as Def Leppard, Megadeth, and Queensryche did! What bands made you Angry?

RELOAD

'RELOAD' came out in 1997, just one year removed from 'Load'. Metallica orginally wanted to make a double album which would included most of what you hear on 'Load'. The 'Reload' tracks did not make the first cut for a reason in my opinion. However, I did love 'The Unforgiven II' Am I totally off on this one?

LOAD

In 1996, Metallica produced 'Load', five years after the 'Black Album' I personally never gave this album a listen because I was one of many metal heads that did not like the direction Metallica was taking. Maybe I was premature beacause 'Load' is a great 'rock' album! James Hetfield's and company continue to grow thier sound and won over older fans to replace fans like myself! What are your thoughts?

The 1991 'Black Album' gained millions of fans, spurned out many top forty singles, and made over fifteen million dollars! The 'Black Album' was better than anything else played on the airwaves...and it was true metal?...Heavy Metal? Or was it the beginning of the end for the Almighty Metallica in our metal hearts? In 1988, Metallica released 'And Justice For All'. 'Justice received mixed reviews by the critics..like that matters. The album runs machine tight with little acknowledge of a bass section. Very fast head banging music. The song 'One' was Metallica's first video. How do you think the death of Cliff Burton effected the band? Is 'Justice' better than the 'Black" album?

MASTER OF PUPPETS

It was 1986. I was fourteen years old when I heard 'Master of Puppets' in my cousin's bedroom. It was really the first exposure I ever had to 'Heavy Metal' That album would be ingrained in my head for life. It is my metal opinion that 'Master of Puppets' was Metallica's best album! 'Ride the Lighting' retained the speed and aggression with 'Kill 'em All' but deepened its scope and production with power ballads, melodic metal, and perfect 'Black Sabboth esque' brooding riffs. In 1983 God gave the metal world a double blessing with the inception of Metallica....and David Mustaine. (Just deal with it!) This legendary metal archive is extremely raw and energetic. Listening to it now, it sounds very punk and thrash! Review and comment!
